Crispy Kale Chips (in ten minutes and for $1)

Crispy Kale Chips (in ten minutes)

  • 1 lb. kale, washed (any kind will suffice, I used curly kale)
  • 1 tbsp, sea salt
  • 1 tsp, cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp, cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 tbsp, brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp, EVOO

  • preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • place kale in a large, glass bowl
  • pour in EVOO and 1/2 of dry ingredients
  • mix very thoroughly with hands
  • lay kale out on two separate baking sheets
  • re-apply the rest of the dry ingredients
  • bake for 8-10 minutes or until browned on the edges and crispy, but not burnt
  • let rest on wire rack for five minutes
  • eat and LOVE this snack

*i found out the hard way that these do NOT stay crunchy. If somebody has a good tip on retaining the crunchiness, please let me know.
